How CrewPoint works

Six steps from "we should plan this" to "we're settled up."

01

Create an event

Trip, wedding, community event — it's all an "event" in CrewPoint. You're the owner by default. Invite members by email; promote any of them to admin when they need to act on your behalf.

02

Break the work into tasks

Each event has a task list. Status moves to-do → in-progress → done with server-stamped completion timestamps. Add an assignee, a due date, and a checklist. Every member sees the same list.

03

Track the money

Set the event currency once. Add expenses as they happen, with payer, splits, and an optional receipt photo. The balance ledger surfaces the minimum payments needed to settle the group.

04

Settle in your favorite app

When you tap Settle on a balance, CrewPoint deep-links into Venmo or CashApp pre-filled with the right amount and a note. You confirm in the originating app and CrewPoint records the settlement so the ledger rebalances.

05

Stay in sync via chat

Every event has its own chat thread. Mark a message Urgent only when timing matters — that flag fans out via push notification to the rest of the crew. Everyone else gets normal in-app delivery.

06

Wrap and archive

When the trip ends, the wedding weekend wraps, or the event is over: archive it. Balances settle, tasks freeze, the chat thread stays read-only for the record. The group moves on.
